The waves almost got me today, but my giant surf board saved me from such a disaster.
My first time surfing, this was the moment of truth.
Even though I had a rash gaurd on they still decided to give me theirs. Not everyone got one so I wondered why I had the privilege of being able to wear the faded orange top.
My arms were not used to doing the superman swim for two hours.
I made it to the end of the day! Riding the waves was worth it (we staged this photo so if anyone needs surfing lessons they can just call this number).

Hawaiian Dancing

Jordan wanted to know if I could shake it like them. I told him to give me a skirt. He also wanted to know why I didn't get him for this picture.
I'm speechless...
I'm even more speechless...I asked this drummer if I could take his picture and he immediately picked me up in his arms. I was quite surprised to say the least! After that shot, the little girl behind me was pretty hesitant to ask him the same question.
I noticed the 'hang loose' hand sign in many of the pictures and thought i would try it in at least one.
Jordan was right...they could shake it.

Diamond Head Trail

We hiked the old volcano today. We were sad no lava sputtered out, but I guess it was to our benefit.
This is the spot where Tyler dropped his hat down the mountain. It wasn't worth the risk to get it back.
There were 100 stairs to climb from this point, but who's counting?!
You had to crawl through this space to reach the very top. Big or small it didn't matter what size you were you still had to go through here.
This was the view we had from the very top. Beautiful!

Hawaii

Aloha!

This is a few of our adventures we are having in Hawaii. I was able to skimboard on the beach since I was taught in St. George by my advanced teacher Alex! Later,we went snorkling and saw some exotic fish as well as an eel. Tyler and Jordan tried to make a sand castle but sadly it was washed away after five minutes of their hard labor. Tyler wanted to be buried, but without his head so we made him into Superman. After we were all done he thought it was very comfortable and jumped out!

This is our first day in Hawai'i. I have heard about five different ways to say that name and I still don't know if there is an official way to say it. I guess I'll have to sound like the tourist noone wants to be. They mixed up our hotel room, but it turned out for the better because we got two roll away beds, a newly remodeled room, and an ocean view!
At church they handed out these lays to welcome us to Relief Society in Hawaii. I was happy that they gave us these beautiful flowers because there is a big rumor going around that they hand them out when you get off the plane. You can get one right when you get off the plane, you just have to pay about $20 for it. Our welcome was much better!

We were able to enjoy a wonderful night at the Bee's game. Ryan and April were able to get us these great seats (I've never sat in seats with a backrest before, it was perfect).
Um...what to say...ok, I stole steve's camera.

I was told that I needed to update my blog by my wonderful aunt Tish.
Stacy was able to rescue me, being the expert she is, and helped me to post more events on my blog. Now I know the ins and outs to blogging!

Lake Powell

This was the first time taking the new boat out for our family!

We were getting tired of the rain (and sometimes
snow) that was keeping us from going boating so we decided
to pack up our things and head down to warmer weather!
Lake Powell was the perfect place for our first launching.
Besides drifting off to sea after the first launch and almost
sinking the boat the second launch we were doing pretty good!
The tube, that is about half the size of the boat, was the
most popular item on the trip.
