Cake Testing
Did I eat all those cupcakes? Yes. Was it worth it? Of course!
Last weekend Stacy and my mom came with me to taste wedding cakes. They were all so delicious! I don't like cake and never was fond of wedding cake, but now I am a believer. They gave us about ten samples of mini cupcakes (mini, meaning you can eat 10 and only count it as two REAl ones and still feel good about yourself) and they were all to die for! You can check out their website at Bayshore Cakes if for some reason you are in the mood for a little piece of heaven.
They offered a box to take home to my fiance and as much as I wanted to say of course I will, I knew deep inside they would find out that I didn't send those cute little cupcakes all the way to Maryland and instead eat them all myself (for which, I would feel slightly guilty about)!

Winter Break
MemoryMixer. That is all I have to say about why its been so long since I've posted. Ken and Mary gave this to me and it has added a whole new dimension to the blogging world! To start out with my new program I scrapbooked Christmas Break. Hope it was worth the wait!
Top: We were able to go to see the lights on Temple Square with Rachel and Kellen. Its always fun with those two!
Bottom: Jarom and I went to a Service Academy Ball were Senator Jake Garn spoke to all of us. There was a really fun band playing where we practiced our dance moves.
Christmas at two homes this year, twice the fun!
My birthday dinner!
We went to Bear Lake for New Years, it is always so beautiful up there and the Wight's are such good hosts.
Jarom's dad Ken gave us tickets to go to the Delta Suite to watch the Jazz. They won, and that was probably the best seats I will ever have! I usually sit up in the nosebleed section and feel like I am going to fall off my seat because I am up really high, so it was a good change.

Go Navy Beat Army!
The freshman (aka plebe) try to play a prank on a senior (aka firstie) since it is Army week. Unfortunately for him, the firstie had his webcam on the whole time...poor kid.

Dreaming...
So this is what I'm looking forward to right?!
I should be studying for my finals, instead I am dreaming of what happens after all this dreadful homework and constant examinations (and then blogging about it).
A couple of months ago I went with my sister and Emilee to look for wedding dresses. They found some really cute ones for me to try on and the nice sales lady said I should stand on the pedestal to have a better look. Great! What girl wouldn't want to stand on her own pedestal! As we were admiring ones we liked and discarding the ones we disliked the sales lady asked when I was getting married. I told her about 9 months until the big day!
She was taken back a bit (maybe because the average engagement in Utah is somewhere around three-four months?) and so I explained my story and while I will be engaged for almost a year. I told her that Jarom goes to the Naval Academy...and that's as far as I got because she was so ecstatic and went off about their uniforms! I had to agree they are pretty dashing.
She kept going on about how you have to have a dress that will look as good as their uniforms. Since their uniforms are AMAZING. The movie, An Officer and a Gentleman, came up and to prove her point she asked who we look at when the young hot couple kiss at the end and run away together. I wasn't sure if that was a rhetorical question and since I haven't seen it, I didn't answer.
"You look at the officer!" she said. "Her dress doesn't even compare to his uniform!"
After that she went on to say the dress I was wearing DEFINITELY was the dress to match. Good sales person, eh? I didn't get the dress (I know right, after all her hard work), but I had to find out what the girl was wearing in the movie, An Officer and a Gentleman, to make sure I could dress to match!
ps have to see that movie according to lots of people that come into my work so we're going to watch it over Christmas break.

Thanksgiving
The 5K Turkey Run!Katelyn got our whole family to run in a 5k. It was really cold when we started out, but warmed up when we were out of the shade and actually moving.
My parents were the ones taking the pictures, and bumped into Cami.
Thanksgiving at Little America. One of the Crowther family favorites. Later we went over to the Gunderson's to have an amazing traditional turkey dinner. Mary is a wonderful cook and made everything taste amazing. One of my favorites is the sweet potato with pecan crust, YUM!
Thanks Grandpa!
First night of Christmas lights on Temple Square.
Liz and Nick, they brought the delicious roasted almonds. Its like a Christmas classic.
Cami and Brett came too. We were happy to go with them and drink some hot chocolate after. Best hot chocolate I ever tasted was at Hatch's Family Chocolates.
The Whoville Christmas tree at Gateway. You just feel like holding everyone's hand and break out in the 'fah who dor reh' song.
Later in the week Ken let us try on some of his flights suits. Jarom was trying them on for real, but I just wanted to join in the fun. I'm glad they have a blue flight suit!
Sunburn for the eyes
This is after the third day of absolutely no light. My eyes may not look that red, but two days ago you wouldn't have been able to even tell I had eyes. I burned my eyes with UV light. You may ask, "what were you doing, in a tanning bed?" No. I was not in a tanning bed. I burned my eyes in my lab running a DNA gel and looking at all the pretty colors. Yes, they were mesmerizing. Who would have thought I would have burned the whites of my eyes to the point where I couldn't see and go to the hospital for some aloe vera for the eyes (basically eye drops but they told me that if I used them more than once they would melt my eyes).
Most wouldn't know that your eyeballs could get burned, but yes it is possible. Because I have light blue eyes I tell people its like having fair skin and therefore burn easily. They could barely believe my story in the hospital at 3 am.
We had to go at 3 am because just like a sunburn, it didn't set in until later that night until finally I couldn't stand it anymore.
My eyes are back to normal now and now I just have more motivation to invent SUNSCREEN FOR THE EYES.
Ok yes sunglasses would work, but in cases where you loose and break many pairs a nice set of clear eyes with sunscreen would work perfectly!
don't you just want to look at it too?
Halloween Time
Thriller!!!Pretty freaky huh? Ya these girls made my mom scream at the top of her lungs. I jumped too when the girl jump over me and onto my chair.
It was a lot of fun to have Mary come with us! Too bad Ken couldn't come...one of these times...
Thriller was amazing as usual!
At Zions Bank we dressed up. We were supposed to be Ute fans.
I was the hotdog at the Ute game. Tyler said I could borrow it if I stitched up the sleeve that was coming loose. When I was opening an account the clients couldn't take me seriously...what isn't serious about a hotdog.
Katelyn was embarrassed when she went to pick up her two brothers dressed up as a teletubby and a hotdog.
Kate the Cat. When Katelyn was little she had a dream she was Catwoman and headbutted someone. Come to find out the next morning there was a dent in her wall the perfect size of her head. She said she had a headache that morning too.
What is different about this picture?
I scared little kids for Halloween while Jarom spent Halloween with me on the webcam. There were a couple of kids that wouldn't even come up to the door. I didn't think I was that scary. I mean, I didn't try that hard.
I'm pretty sure it was the other witch.
My family carving pumpkins.
First one done, that is why you choose the little pumpkin.
Tyler the Grandpa. Jordan the goofy Dad. Becky the little vampire. Katelyn the clown baby. Dad the devilish Uncle. What a wonderful family!
